Welcome to the 2019 BC Mayhem

- May 15, 2019

Inside Edge Hockey Training would like to welcome 38 teams to Planet Ice Coquitlam May 17th to 20th for the BC Mayhem. This is the fourth year of the BC Mayhem tournament and our commitment to putting fun first stays the same. We will continue to deliver the only true AA tournament for spring hockey in BC with all the bells and whistles families would receive at an Elite level event. Coaches receive a tournament coaching bag, players receive a tournament branded shirt. There will be player achievement awards handed out over the first five games. We present Gold, Silver and Bronze medals on the ice. Finally, what has made the tournament a huge hit for the kids and teams, is the Championship Wrestling Belts.

Player Achievement Awards will be handed out in any order the coaches please following each of a team's first five games at the BC Mayhem. The awards are to reward players for Best Performance, Super Passer, Best Battler, Best Team Attitude, Total Team Effort.

As the weather is typically terrific at this time of the year the heaters are shut off to keep the ice in best playing condition for the kids. So please bring a jacket or dress accordingly. There is restaurant viewing on Rinks 3 and 4, but there is only rink level viewing on Rinks 1 and 2. We just wanted to make sure everyone was prepared ahead of time and will be comfortable at the rink.

We would like to thank all of our tournament sponsors that continue to support this community event for the kids and contribute to the T Shirts, Medals and Player Awards. This event wouldn't be what it is without their support.

Families can follow the event on our website at bcmayhem.com. You can also follow the fun on Instagram and Twitter at @bcmayhem. There will be standings boards posted in the lobby of Planet Ice Coquitlam. We will also have a tournament office room in the lobby. If you are ever concerned about the facility, standing boards, etc. You are welcome to stop by and let us know. Please remember there are no stats recorded at the BC Mayhem. We only post team results.

So welcome to the 650 kids playing in the BC Mayhem this weekend. Have fun, enjoy the competition and go be your best.

Thank you.
